CÔN ĐẢO TRAVEL GUIDE

Pocket guide and frequently asked questions

Ask the right people, go in the right season
When is the best time to visit Côn Đảo?
From March to September the sea is usually calm and clear, ideal for boat trips and snorkeling, and turtle nesting season runs from about April to October. From October to February the northeast wind makes the sea rougher, but it is still a fine time for heritage and spiritual tours and the sheltered bays.
What happens if the weather is bad or my ferry or flight is canceled?
When the port authority stops boats or a flight is canceled because of weather, we move your date or refund the services you have not used. Our team on the island will let you know and rearrange your plans.
Can families with older relatives and young children join?
Yes. Heritage, spiritual and package tours move slowly and include transfers. For trekking or sea tours, tell us the ages and health of your group and we will suggest the right tour.
Do I need to bring my own offerings for a spiritual tour?
No. Incense and candles are included on Hàng Dương visits. For a full offering tray, order our All-Inclusive Offering Tray service and we will prepare it in the local tradition and bring it to you.
How far ahead should I book?
Book day tours at least 1 day ahead. For turtle tours and packages in summer and on holidays, book 2–4 weeks ahead, as places and ferry tickets are limited.
