DAY 01
Day 01: Old-growth forest and Ông Đụng Beach

Pickup at your hotel and drive to the ranger station at the Ông Đụng trailhead. Your guide explains the forest rules and hands out water. -
Forest walk
Walk about 1 km along the trail under the canopy, with stone steps and tree roots.
Stop at large old trees and hear about the medicinal plants and birds of the island.
With luck you may see black squirrels or long-tailed macaques (please do not feed wildlife). -
At the beach
Rest and swim at Ông Đụng Beach.
When the water is clear, snorkel over near-shore coral with your guide and never stand on the coral.
Fruit and photos before heading back. -

Walk back to the ranger station and drive to your hotel.

When the port authority stops ferries or boats, or a flight is canceled because of weather, we move your date or refund the services you have not used.

Footwear
Wear sneakers or strapped sandals with good grip. Flip-flops slip easily on stone steps and roots. -
Water and sun
Bring a hat, reef-safe sunscreen and at least 1 liter of water per person. -
Leave no trace
Do not litter, break plants, or take animals, shells or coral out of the national park.

Can I join if I have never hiked before?
Yes. The trail is about 1 km each way with gentle slopes and stone steps. The guide walks at the pace of the slowest guest, with rest stops along the way.
Does the tour run when it rains?
Light rain is fine, the trail is just more slippery. In heavy rain or when rangers issue a warning, we move you to another session or refund you under our policy.
